Executive Team

Founder
Dr. Thornburgh founded TCI in 2013 after serving as a key man in the formation of three separate environmental consulting firms, Clark Seif Clark, AEG, and Hillmann Consulting. He oversees training, final oversight on all IH reports, and continues to spearhead business development and now focuses primarily on Southern California’s fire and fentanyl emergencies.

Vice President of Operations
Mathew Cadovec is the Vice President of Operations and co-owner of Thornburgh Consulting, where he oversees day-to-day operations and ensures the delivery of high-quality industrial hygiene services.
Since entering the industry in 2010, he has specialized in industrial hygiene, indoor air quality assessments, and mold and microbial inspections.
In his leadership role, Mathew manages and reviews project work, provides team training, conducts quality assurance for technical reports, and maintains strong client relationships. He is a Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) and Certified Microbial Consultant (CMC).

Divisional Manager – Industrial Hygiene
Davis Tang brings extensive expertise in environmental consulting and industrial hygiene to Thornburgh's team. Since joining in 2023, he has leveraged over a decade of environmental consulting experience to support clients across a wide range of complex projects.
As a State of California Certified Asbestos Consultant, a California Department of Public Health Certified Lead Risk Inspector/Assessor, and Nevada Certified Asbestos Abatement Consultant; Davis specializes in environmental due diligence, asbestos investigations and surveys, indoor air quality assessments, mold investigations, water sampling, and lead risk assessment. He meets the rigorous educational and experience criteria required of an Environmental Professional under federal regulations.
Davis is well-versed in OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, and other federal, state, and local environmental health and safety requirements. His representative project experience includes comprehensive hazardous materials surveys, environmental site assessments, air quality investigations, and remediation support for major clients including Irvine Company Apartment Communities, Brookfield Residential, Toll Brothers, and Richland Communities throughout Southern California.
With a B.S. in Environmental Science from UC Riverside and multiple professional certifications including OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training, EPA/AHERA Certified Asbestos Consultant, and CDPH Lead Risk Inspector/Assessor credentials, Davis is committed to delivering thorough, compliant environmental solutions for Thornburgh's clients.

Divisional Manager – Environmental Engineering Division
Stephen Krummlett leads the Environmental Engineering Division at Thornburgh Consulting Inc., overseeing all field operations, report quality assurance, and staff training for the firm’s Phase I, Phase II, and remediation services.
As an Environmental Professional, he supervises complex environmental due-diligence projects across Southern California, coordinating directly with agencies such as the California Department of Toxic Substance Control, the California Regional Water Quality Control Boards, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Stephen supports major residential and commercial development clients—including Meritage Homes, Toll Brothers, Brookfield Residential, and Richland Communities—providing comprehensive hazardous-materials surveys, vapor-intrusion assessments, and mitigation planning.
He holds a B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of California, Irvine, and maintains professional certifications including OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, CDPH Lead Inspector/Assessor, Cal-OSHA Site Surveillance Technician, and Nevada Asbestos Abatement Consultant.
